CANBERRA, June 26 2019 -- Michael Derin, Azure Group's Group Managing Partner attended Canberra Networking Day, the signature annual event of the Australia China Business Council.
“The importance of events such as the Canberra Networking Day are of tremendous significance for both countries. Both, China and Australia have huge potential in many fields. The main barrier of entry for either country is developing a deeper understanding of each others business environments. This event helps bridge those gaps and having Azure Group in both Australia and China, it’s important to continue to develop a deeper understanding across both borders and attend events such as this.”, Michael Derin, Azure Group’s Managing Partner.
Canberra Networking Day (CND) is the Australia China Business Council's annual member-only event held in Canberra. Hosted every year with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Canberra Networking Day has been firmly established as a signature and premier annual event in the Australia-China bilateral business calendar.
Cheng Jingye, Chinese Ambassador about China-Australia relationships
“Mutual political trust and cooperation are the "two wheels" that drive China-Australia relations smoothly,” Chinese Ambassador to Australia Cheng Jingye said on Wednesday at Canberra Networking Day.
"The history of the relationship between China and Australia since the establishment of diplomatic relations demonstrates that a sound and stable bilateral relationship serves the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples," said Cheng.
"Australian governments will need to understand China as a huge and diverse country, rightly proud of its growth and of lifting hundreds of millions from poverty. Australian businesses will need to develop a deeper understanding of Chinese markets, and especially of the Chinese digital environment," he said.
