If you have a corporate trustee for your Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF), then you are a Company Director, and need a Director Identification Number (DIN), a 15 digit identification number issued by the Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS).
All Company Directors need to apply for their DIN by 30 November 2022.
If you are a company director, acting alternate director, management committee member of ‘registered bodies’, registered foreign company or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation, you are required to have your own unique DIN.
